Livin’ the Dream (Program/Event Request)
The “Livin’ the Dream” Funding Request supports community programs and events that integrate and advance Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy of human rights, equality, nonviolence, unity, and social change. By fostering collaboration, coordination, and cooperation, this program invests in initiatives that strengthen community engagement and expand the impact of Dr. King’s vision across New Mexico.
MLKJRC x Juneteenth
Community organizers, educational institutions, nonprofits, and local groups across New Mexico are encouraged to apply for Livin’ the Dream funding to support Juneteenth activities and events that advance the values and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This opportunity is intended to support initiatives that incorporate and implement Dr. King’s theories, concepts, and principles, including nonviolence, equity, civic engagement, social justice, leadership, community service, and collective responsibility, while expanding access to meaningful educational and community-based programming statewide.
Building Bridges (Sponsorship Request)
The “Building Bridges” Sponsorship Request is designed for organizations seeking support through opportunities that provide the Commission with visibility and engagement in the community. This includes tangible avenues such as tabling, advertisements, and other forms of presence that highlight collaboration and strengthen connections, ensuring Dr. King’s legacy is carried forward through purposeful outreach.
